Jenny stared out the window, looking aimlessly into the night sky. The stars twinkled in the night sky like little lights that never seemed to go out. She sighed as she tried keeping her eyes open. Not only had she been up since five o'clock in the morning, she had also been working all day on the farm since she had finished breakfast.

She glanced out into the corn fields; how well she had planted them; so many of them were lined up. She would make a good amount of money off of them later on. Jenny gave one last sigh at the window and closed her eyes.

As she drifted off to sleep, she heard a small crackling sound. She quickly looked up and gasped in shock. A giant flaming meteor was flying down towards her!

Jenny quickly jumped up from the window and ran out of her room and down the stairs. She ran to the door and threw it open, running out onto the lawn in the dark night.

The large meteor was now closing on her home. In only a matter of seconds would it land directly on Jenny's house! She quickly ran into the crops and didn't stop until she heard a loud "BOOM!"

Jenny looked over her shoulder; the meteor had left a large black pillar of smoke rising from the ground where her house once stood. A shiver went down her spine and she decided to turn back to her house.

What were the odds of that, she thought to herself, it must be near impossible!

When she reached the edge of the crops, she gasped in shock at the sight of her home. It had been replaced by a large crater! She ran over to the edge and looked down into it.

In the center of the crater was a small cylinder; it was no larger than Jenny herself. Around it, chucks of the meteor was scattered all around it.

Jenny looked up past the crater. She heard her cow, Abigail, let out a moo. The barn had been untouched from the meteor's fall. Jenny then decided to look in the barn, just to check on Bruno, her horse, and Abigail.

Jenny opened up the barn door and checked tip-toed her way through the barn. At the end she kept Bruno and Abigail in the same stall, as they were born on the same day at the same time. They had always gotten along well with each other.

Jenny grabbed the lantern from the barn wall and quickly lit it with the match next to it. She walked up to Bruno and Abigail’s stall and stopped as she heard a sound. It sounded like the chewing of hay.

Bruno must be hungry at night, Jenny thought, I’ve got to feed him more.

Slowly, she opened the gate, looking around for Bruno and Abigail.

"Bruno, Abigail," She whispered to them, "Are you both alri-"

Jenny stopped. Lying right in front of her was Bruno's head. It had been ripped off! Jenny held her mouth shut tight. She was too frightened to scream! She quickly looked into the stall again and let out a whimper.

Abigail’s dead body was ripped open. Most of her bones had been chewed on and broken. Standing next to her corpse, was a hunched figure. Its skin was green and had three eyes in his forehead. Its mouth was covered in blood as well as its teeth.

"Commencing human eradication!" It yelled out, pointing its hand towards Jenny.

Before she could move, the fingers of the alien shot out at her. The last thing she felt was three sharp points sticking her in the gut.

I just wanted to write a basic alien story. Nothing else. But yeah, I can say it was good irony.
