The other dimension

  Hello, you may or may not have read “ the mars colony” but I have a story that precedes that of the mars colony. In the mars colony you have learnt that humans and the cleansers first encountered in 3050, but our recent studies have indicated something that happened before the encounter. We have found a human warship, this may not seem important but the damage that had been inflicted upon the ship attracted our attention. This warship dated back to 2050, when the warships were all bulk, not completely war like and the weapons were far more primitive than those in 3050. Now you may be wondering what my point is, right? Well we found traces of cleanser plasma fire on the ship, the immense hulk was full of holes from their mighty weapons, so we wondered how could an old ship have been attacked if we only met the cleanser in 3050, this paradox compelled us to investigate the matter further. Some colleagues and I, peaceful but armed just in case of emergencies boarded the derelict vessel in hope of solving this perplexing mystery. The emergency power was surprisingly still active, but according to latter studies conducted by the museum of war ships in the 21st century had strong long lasting batteries that could last forever unless the power source itself was destroyed. The inside of the ship was pretty messed up, the containment fields were still up so we didn’t need any atmosphere suits but we put some anyway, just in case the shields happened to shut off while were on board. I am boring you with these details now aren’t I? But I am getting to the point, and these details just add to our discovery. As I was saying, the emergency power was still active so we looked at a holographic map and managed to find the bridge where all the information we needed was. The elevators were not functional so we had to climb up the access ladder to the bridge which was located 10 levels up, the ship had a total of 50 levels, this indicates that older ships had their bridge in the lower level, and in the middle, unlike our modern ship where they are in the highest level and in the front. The bridge to our surprise looked in mint condition, everything was polished to the extreme that you could see your reflection everywhere. The computer consoles were primitive, but we managed to extract all the information we needed, and our discovery is what the purpose of me telling you this. According to the data this ship had been in another dimension, one where time and space as we knew it was completely off the chart, kind of like a science-fiction show. There were no visual records so didn’t see how it looked but he explained it as being completely black, not one star but only black space. They had accidentally gotten there by being pulled into some kind of spatial anomaly. The only light was them, they explored for weeks trying to find a way out but their was none, the captain’s logs said the crew was beginning to lose faith, losing hope in ever returning home. Then they found a derelict ship floating in outer space, it was immense in size and its power was off the chart, they did not detect any life signs and decided to land the ship in one of their big aircraft bays. In the bay there were hundreds of fighter-sized ships that resembled the big ship in design. With an armed team they explored the ship, the power turned on wherever they went, as if there were sensors that detected them and automatically activated the systems. The inside of the ship was majestic, all silver with gold strips on the lower part of the corridor walls and there were strange runic symbols etched into the walls. The team the captain lead found an armory in the ship, the weapons were highly superior to theirs, and they fired some kind of compacted plasma rounds, and could contain more ammunition than any human gun. The armor was also very formidable, it was composed of some light titanium alloy, there was a helmet that took the form of anyone’s head and the visor could detect heat signatures, they armed themselves and kept on going. They found then engineering room next, its core was amazingly more superior to theirs. In their ship they had a nuclear powered core, but in this vessel an unknown substance that gave the ship 10 times as much power as their nuclear reactors, and it was all sustained by computers. The captain decided to go to the bridge, the map indicated it was on the 15th level, so all the team gathered and they went to the bridge, the elevators were big enough to fit them all with space to spare. The bridge was huge, twice as big as their bridge and far more advanced. The technology on the ship was beyond anything they had ever seen, all this made them decide to take the ship. The computers were identical to theirs and the whole crew came on board and after a few weeks they could fly the ship with enough skill and operate it well enough. There was food on the ship that permitted them to survive, they put on the armor and armed themselves with all the guns, there was not enough armor for all the soldiers, and the 50 superiors officers who had superior armor that was heavier but made out of carbon grade a titanium, which was what their ship’s hull was made of, since the other soldiers didn’t have any armor before they had the alien armor. Everything was running smoothly, they kept on looking for a way out of that starless dimension with their high-tech ship. Then some soldiers started getting sick, the armor could not be removed and it seemed to be affecting them in negative ways, but the sickness stopped and everything went back to normal. As time passed the suits seemed to change the soldiers little by little, but only giving them advantages like physical superiority, perfect vision so no one was worried. They were stuck there 10 years, and still didn’t have a way out, then that’s when things started going wrong. Soldiers just started dying, for no reason they just dropped dead to the ground. The doctors could not figure out what was wrong and after a few weeks all the soldiers with the alien armor were dead, and only 50 soldiers remained, the superior officers. The doctors left tried to figure out what had happened but could not, he guessed it was probably a biological effect of the armor that killed them, so they put them in the morgue and continued on their way.  Then a week later things went from bad to disastrous, they went to the morgue and there were no bodies there. The 50 soldiers decided it was better if they did not stay aboard, and they decided to leave the ship. But then they were attacked by some aliens, they had a slight metallic skin and armor identical to that of their soldiers, they fired the plasma weapons and they burned the armor but did not penetrate it, the humans there fired in unison of the aliens, killing them easily, blood spread all over the walls behind them. They ran for the bridge to warn the others but there were more aliens, they had to fight their way past 50 aliens before they got to the bridge, but when they got there the bridge officers were in a gun fight with another type of alien, the chain gunners, they were harder to kill but they managed to kill them. They all decided to get back to their ship and leave as soon as they could; they ran as fast as they could without meeting much resistance, but half way there they got ambushed. Plasma bullets came out from everywhere, penetrating their armor and killing most of them, some survived and ran as fast as they could, more were killed on the way but they got there and closed the metal doors. They got into the ship and left the alien ship with the ship as soon as they could, blasting their way threw the closed bay doors. They were getting away when the alien ship turned and started chasing them, the big ship fired some plasma beams that penetrated their hull and they were left non functional. It was determined the aliens were the dead soldiers, and we discovered it was us humans that awakened the cleansers, the ship was boarded later and the remaining crew who fought them off for a few days were overtaken and transformed into the giant aliens made out of tough reinforced carbon grade A titanium skin, with armor made the same, and weapons that fired powerful plasma rounds very quickly. The captain survived, he flew away in a emergency pod without the Cleansers noticing him and got himself lost even more. You may wonder what the importance of recounting this was, well I am a historian and I had to correct a mistake that I had made about the cleansers. This information is top secret and if you are reading this you must be of high superiority, humanity is barely surviving as it is, stuck on the ravaged planet Utopia where everything has been destroyed and where humans barely have hope to live to see another day, if they were to discover this it might put them in such a depression that it might lead to the complete destruction of all humans. This is my tale of what happened and I hope for humanity’s sake that this is never revealed to the humans.The hologram of the human vanished, the aliens looked out of the window at their city on Utopia, one of them said “ it seems we weren’t the first to live on this planet, it’s a wonder any species could survive on the planet as it was before we improved it” the outside was a beautiful tropical jungle, trees were everywhere, big oceans and lakes everywhere, it was like paradise. The alien continued “ now this planet truly looks like Utopia” another alien began to talk “ we must pay respect to these humans and study them further, these holoprojection tapes will help us with that, we will look at every one of them” the others nodded, looking in a small walk in closet, there were metal boxes that took nearly all the place, each box containing 50 holoprojection tapes, the aliens had long work ahead of them. Before they left the alien continued “ there may still be a human left, in the cleanser realm” one of the aliens replied “ that is a dangerous section of space, the cleansers are primitive vicious beasts. It seems they wiped out the whole human race and used them to gain power, I feel sorry for these humans. All they ever wanted to do was survive, instead they woke humanity’s own death ” the alien that hadn’t spoken said “ sometimes there are injustices in the world, we try to prevent them but they will happen, we will find that human and on that I swear” they left the room, the lights automatically shut, the holo projection of Mike Belasko came appeared sitting on the chair, he put his feet on the desk and said to himself “ it was not the cleansers who destroyed us, once you find out who did…” he smiled and then continued “ then, like us there will be another injustice”
