I'm suppose to talk about myself here, but I don't do that easily. I write for myself not for anybody who may or may not read it. I don't really consider myself a great writer just skilled at turning a phrase. I'm not looking to become famous as a writer, but rich wouldn't be bad.
I love a good book, but I hate when some idiot takes that book and makes it into a terrible movie.
I posted two versions of a story today (11-15-13).
Most people have heard of Vampires and lycanthropes (werewolves) but few have heard of the creature consider the foulest and evilest creature of the Shadow Realms, the Death Knight. Those who become a Death Knight must willing accept their fate, while a vampire or werewolf can be created by accident or forced upon a person. The spells used in a Death Knight’s creation are considered some the darkest and vulgar ever created. Only creatures of darkness will consider making a Death Knight and only the most powerful can cast the spells needed. The spells bind the Death Knight’s spirit to an object that is usually held by their creator/Master as a form of control and protection. As long as the object survives the spirit of a Death Knight can be inserted into a new body, even the body of a living person which destroys the spirit that originally inhabited the body.
On this plane during the modern age Death Knights have forsaken their plate mail for business suits and their swords for ball point pens, but don’t doubt that they are just as deadly and evil as they ever were. Where they were chosen before for their skill in battle, in this age the dark powers select those with skill in business and law. Their attire may not be the plate mail of old, but it is still heavily enchanted, but again the enchantments have changed and no longer focus on protecting from physical harm. These new Death Knight may not be great warriors but they control forces more powerful than any of those who came before.
The Grim Reaper is suppose to collect the souls of the dead, but how can he actually do this when so many people die every day all around the world. I relieved the only logical answer was that there is more then one Grim Reaper. Well I did some digging and found out about Grim Enterprises. It is a great business thou I still haven't learned what the souls are used for, but recruiting new employees is easy and the work is a piece of cake. The power and abilities of the robe is highly addicted so most are hooked on it after only a couple of assignments. The only downside is Grim Enterprises isn't really into the whole employee hand book thing so learning the rules is a little bit of a pain.
There are many different types of lycanthropes but the largest group is werewolves. Packs of them cover huge sections of the world. Remaining hiding by blending into the native wolf packs of the world. Most of them are part of extended families with only a few outsiders being infected. Most packs still follow the rule the biggest and strongest is in charge. Some packs thou have instead taking leaders better suited to lead in the modern world or even a council.
