A Poem by ShenkaPaulIsaacson
Posted: Aug 2, 2008
A friend in Rochester gave me a picture of Basalt...
Born in the North of England and brought up in a fairly observant Jewish community, whilst in Scotland I was honing psychic ability until, nine and a half months later, an understanding of Jesus (Yeshua) being the Jewish Messiah hit me. Actually, was hit between the eyes and thrown backwards by the experience, apart from other things. And no, I don't suffer from epilepsy, nor was a brick lobbed at my mug. Was very very sure of the meaning of life and the Hereafter for a good three years, until five-senses life buffed away the sparkle. A couple of years on and I met and married a vicar.
Moved to Kent and now live in a vicarage in Canterbury. No kids, two dogs and a cat called Fat Freddie's. Fred for short. Odd thing is, since moving here, strange stuff is starting to happen, but not sure of my ground about how to write of it, being a vicar's wife and all that entails. Easpecially a kosher one! (Must be the only Rectory that doesn't stock pig). Actually, this nice, kosher vicar's wife wanted to call Fred, "Bollocks", because I loved the idea of Husband in long, black cassock standing at the side door of the vicarage and calling for his cat to come home! He wouldn't have it, sadly, but allowed me the honour of naming cat Fat Freddie's.
So, here i am and looking forward to discovering writers and reading stuff - as you do!
