Book By: chuck is my world
Song lyrics

A song about a boy I used to know... who still holds my heart, even though he doesn't deserve it.

Destiny brought us together that night.
In your eyes, fate interwined.
You had me at the very first glance...
Worked up the courage to talk to you.
I saw your inner light shine on through.
You charmed me right into your trance...
And I danced home with my heart on my sleeve.
You played it right out of me, my will to believe...
***
I was standing on the brink, my arms out in front of me.
You're underneath, staring at me beautifully.
Telling me to jump, cause it was just that easy.
You said you would catch me...
(You promised that you would.)
You said that you'd catch me...
***
I came back the very next week,
To the place you promised you would be.
I waited hours for you, but you never showed up for me....
You played me, cause you knew I was weak.
Just a silly girl with a will to believe.
I never would've expected it, I was decieved...
I fought the urge to fall down and let the tears take control.
I held myself back from falling into that hellhole...
***
Like I, stood there on the brink, my arms out in front of me.
It was a long shot, but you were smiling so beautifully.
Telling me to jump, you'll be right there underneath.
You said you would catch me...
(You promised that you would.)
You said that you'd catch me...
***
And we can spend our whole lives pretending that we never met.
And that that day was a dream that we can both just forget.
We'll wonder what would've happened,
If you'd kept your bargain end,
And been there, too...
And I'll die thinking if my heart would still be broken,
If it hadn't been ripped apart by you...
***
Leading me to that brink, my arms out in front of me.
The fear clawed at my heart, but you played with my belief.
I jumped, cause I thought it would just be that easy.
But you didn't catch me...
***
Destiny brought us together that night.
In your eyes, fate intertwined.
You had me at the very first glance...
