Fly away, it won’t come back.
It won’t stay; we’ll get back on track.
Let those tears fall, don’t hold them in.
No matter what you’re told; crying’s not a sin.
CH:
Rain darkens the light ‘til it’s too dark to see.
Don’t hold back secrets when you can tell them to me.
Rain fills the clouds to the very brim,
Then it falls, like tears, and says on very whim:
Don’t hold back tears, when crying’s not a sin.
Lakes, ponds, rivers and seas,
The angel’s tears fall where they’re meant to be.
Lava from deep in the earths’ inner core,
Like shells from the beach or the oceans’ floor,
Act as though cliffs have been crying hot tears;
Falling to depths, we humans still fear.
But when we face that voice, in our heads without din
Remember this: crying’s not a sin.
CH:
Though rain darkens the light ‘til it’s too dark to see.
Don’t hold back secrets; tell them to me.
Rain fills the clouds to the very brim,
Then it falls, like tears, and says, on very whim:
Don’t hold back when crying’s not a sin.
