Is fame, money and power all you want? Try searching for things closer to home...they are more precious

Hey, Hey
There are many roads
Many paths unknown
Can you walk on and on
Barefoot on biting stones
Hey, Hey
There are many doors
Some made of stone
Will you knock on and on
Sing a beggar's song
Hey, Hey
There are many seas
So very deep
Will you ride to the bottom
Find the diamond beads
Hey, Hey
Rider of the night
Fly so high
Will you glide on and on
Touch the stars in the sky
But when you are so far...…away
In search of treasures not known...…yet
Can you hear your children cry...…your name
The silent tears of your wife...…in pain
All the while you long for more...…rain
Your love is being washed...…away
The sanctuary built...…is stained
For the creator...…is far away
All that gold and wealth...…claimed
And the visions for more...…in vain
World is too big...…for two hands
Cannot fly forever...…have to land
Just ask yourself
Would you rather carry the memories
Of your first kiss and child saying daddy
Of the words spoken by the fire
Dancing in the moonlight
Of the summers spent inside
When winter sang outside
Or would you rather carry to your grave
The hopeless days
In search to quench the thirst
Of your worldly lust
Just ask yourself
Just ask yourself
