Had been putting it off
For too long
I guess it is time to make a move
Got to rock
Got to roll
Enough being scared to make the move
Knocking on
The big black door
A silent force makes it move
I say "hello"
Only the echo
I guess it has always been that hollow
Lights are dim
It's a dark passageway
Useless things
Block my way
I hear some wheels
Coming this way
An old man carries
The burdens of every day
I see
The loaded weight
Seems to be
Growing as I stare
I know
These heavy stones
Carried everyday to school
I know
The broken mirror
When couldn't look that cool
I know
These tattered clothes
When that fashion went old
I know
That aged phone
New is the time want some more
Troubled
To see such petty sorrows
Is there something better?
I move along
A boy
Hides behind a door
Avoiding
Taunts and little jokes
Eyes are moist
He can't stand all alone
Someone hoist
Him up so he can reach his goal
I know
When you stand up
You only grow
I know
When you lay low
You'll always be alone
I know
Winners don't wait
Making that first move
I know
You can't delay
Otherwise you'll always lose
I wonder
Why I didn't think this before
Such a wonder
As I move along
In a dark corner
Of a cold room
Some portraits
With the aura of doom
A sad face
Drowned in gloom
Dead roses
Never can bloom
I know
As I clean the dirt
There's a light shining through
I know
Behind these masks
Is a life anew
I know
I am the gardener
Got to make them bloom
I know
This isn't the end
Always a new tune
I ponder
Why I let myself go
And painted
My own dark soul
I am the owner
Of this home
Yet it's treasures
I don't know
The seeds
I have sown
Have only reaped
Bloodied stones
Shut the door
Of that hole
And I think what to do
Got to rock
Got to roll
Been scared…no more!
NO MORE!
