Does she love me? Does she love me not?

I felt like being cliché on our first date
And showed up with a red rose
A smile came across your face
As you held it up to your nose
You said it made you feel so special
And the next thing I know
You put it in a beer bottle vase
Looked at me and said it fits perfectly
As you plucked at a petal
I stared into your eyes and secretly agreed
Everything suddenly felt so right
My stomach feels like it's tied
Tightly in a knot
As my heart struggles with each and every throb
A petal drops
And I wonder...does she love me?
Does she love me not?
These petals drift slowly down to the floor
I'm terrified of what you might say
What if you decide to walk away
And slam that door shut behind you
I don't think I'd ever be the same
Oh, but what if you stay
I guess it's all up to fate now, yeah
I'll just pick at these roses
Cross my fingers and pray
Hopefully you won't say no
My stomach feels like it's tied
Tightly in a knot
As my heart struggles with each and every throb
A petal drops
And I wonder...does she love me?
Does she love me not?
(x2)
Another long day at work
You come home tired, and your feet hurt
Bet you were surprised
When you hit those lights
You follow the trail of red
Through the door and to the bed
I walk up and get down on one knee
And ask you
Will you marry me?
My stomach feels like it's tied
Tightly in a knot
My heart struggles with each and every throb...
Petals drop all over the floor
As you push me on the bed
Kissing me, screaming yes
She loves me (x4)
You smile as you slide on that ring
Look at me and you say
It fits perfectly
