Miss Alice

Falling, falling, hidden by the darkness

Phantoms whisper her secrets

Forgotten past, unknown future

Mysteries of lies and mysteries of truth

The ticking of a clock, its chime her lullaby

The hare, he is her guide

The feline, a close friend

May loneliness be her comfort, may few be her true allies

Lie within lie

Is where truth resides

Fear within fear

Is where we hide

A sinister smile on the Blue Paper Moon

Dear little girl, where are you?

Black as day, clouds on the ground

(Haha ha ha) echoing silence

Eyes of flame hidden, spiders in my tea

(Tra la la) my collection of masks

Butterflies under foot, laughter make no sound

Here and there, nothing and everything to be found

Matted white fur, purring broken smile

(Giggle) I found you

Lie within lie

Is where truth resides

Fear within fear

Is where we hide

A sinister smile on the Blue Paper Moon

Dear little girl, your lost again

Gray doves of torn hearts

Copper trees against my painted sky

Smashed glass flowers under Insanity's hat

Fear, my entertainment

As I retell my favorite lullabies

Lie within lie

Is where truth resides

Fear within fear

Is where we hide

Life's a tragedy, dramatic, suck it up and move on

Reality: painful. Turn it around, make it your own

Lie within lie

How do you know what truth is

Fear within fear

The weak running away

Blue Paper Moon, showing us only what we want

Little girl forever gone, spirited away

Within your mind…

A/N: look for Miss Alice under Book Reviews or my page for an explanation of parts of the song. Be warned that it may contain things you may not like. Im breaking it down to it's lowest levels and things like religion are society are mentioned in negative ways. DO NOT take this as a stab at you personally, what you believe in, etc. I'm not trying to show hate for anythig, this is my personal opinion only. Read at your own risk. Now that that is said, this was done as a project for my Media class. The project was to write a song that was personal to us and pick it apart for the class. I got 96% on it so i think it's good enough to post here! :p
