No one knew how she died
But the ashes surrounding her side
Will tell the story of a little girl
And the boy who took her for a ride
They told you she was sixteen
She had dreams just like you and me
She wore black for she lacked
The lovin’ and support that we had
She never said much, never asked for more
Than what she already had
She was an angel sent from heaven,
Who never told a single lie
But was cursed to be born to this world
Where she was alone and left unnoticed
Ooh, ooh
No one knew how she died
But the ashes surrounding her side
Will tell the story of a little girl
And the boy who took her for a ride
To anyone who will stop for a moment and listen
They tell how she had met
A boy who shared hopes and dreams
That he wished to proceed
But there was something behind those blue eyes
Which told a story of a lie
He was cunning and he was smart
Things got hazy and things got tough
She needed to run for she had enough
He spun her around until she fell apart
Her soul was burned and nothing was left,
Ooh nothing was left…nothing was left…
No one knew how she died
But the ashes surrounding her side
Will tell the story of a little girl
And the boy who took her for a ride
She was found one morning; she was as cold as ice
Her skin as white as the snow around her side
She was lying in a pile of ashes that will tell a sad tale
To anyone who would stop and listen to their story
Of a little girl and the boy who took her for a ride
