Times have gotten tough and I’ve lost all my stuff
And they took away my credit cards
I did everything I could but it just was no good
Now I’m living at the old freight yard
Well I used to have a home and I used to have a car
And I used to have a real nice yard
Now all I have left are some clothes in a bag
And the shelter of an old box car
well I’m living in the old freight yard
because times have really gotten so hard
wishin there was a train that could take us back again
cause we’re stuck here in the old freight yard.
I used to have a wife and a real nice life
But she left me when things fell apart
She moved back home to her mom on her family’s farm
And left me with a broken heart
Though I’m a bit lonely I’m never alone
I’ve made these new friends of mine
Cause I’m not the only one who ran out of funds
and came to the end of the line
well were living in the old freight yard
because times have really gotten so hard
wishin there was a train that could take us back again
cause we’re stuck here in the old freight yard.
Drinking cheap wine, talking about better times
And the way that it used to be.
It was a beautiful life 0. we had it mad in the shade
But I guess it wasn’t meant to be
well were living in the old freight yard
because times have really gotten so hard
wishin there was a train that could take us back again
cause we’re stuck here in the old freight yard.
