Life’s not the same since you’ve been gone
Things just don’t seem to get done
I’ve found that making wishes
Doesn’t clean the pots and dishes
And all the buttons on my shirts have come undone.
Life’s not the same since you’ve been gone
I’m living in a house and not a home
Your mother feeds me three meals a day
An yet I’m wasting away
I’ll disappear soon if you don’t come home
Life’s not the same since you’ve been gone
The kids are all off school and that’s no fun
Each time I say goodnight
They get up and turn on the light
And tip all my shaving gear down the Jon
Life’s not the same since you’ve been gone
I’m about to gas the kids now honest Hon
If you don’t come home soon
I’ll go berserk at the next full moon
And chop up your mother just for fun
Gee life’s great now that you’re back home
It really doesn’t seem like you’ve been gone
And just look at my baby boy
He’s a real bundle of joy
If the next one’s a girl we’ll call her Joan.
