About people who are alive yet not really living

Almost Real

Your dreams surrounded by a wall
Got the most advanced cellphone and no one to call
you won't climb over the obstacle cause you may fall

A new day is on its way, you know it's the same deal
You made it! you're a guitar hero! imaginary fans cheer!
This new sony is like you, almost real.

Like a shook-up soda pop, you anxious to uncork and set free
But the cork is your mind, and it's stuck hard
Unluckily the tin-opener is not anywhere around

You've never been in tomorrow, but you recognize the smell
No plans for tomorrow just kill the day
You get used to your safe life routine, everyone can tell

(chorus)
You're fresh as new, and so your page of memories
Don't you need a bit of excitement?
You sit there in silence now you have nothing to say
The power is out - you fade away

And before you prepare yourself for a new boring day
Take a minute to think if you like this way
You play safe, no mistakes will be done
All in all, you never have any fun
Everyone has just one life - you've got none

You're fresh as new, and so your page of memories
Don't you need a bit of excitement?
You sit there in silence now you have nothing to say
The power is out - you fade away
