Song lyrics

A song I wrote for my deceased father, John Dawson. He died on 26th November 2007, and I still miss him.

Rain streams down my
windowpane as I think
of you. The Goddess is in
mourning for you, as am I.

The sky turns black as
the evening approaches, and
thunder booms in the sky.
I cry, and I ask one thing ...

Can I see you again,
just to dance in the ain
like we always said we
would? Can we run to the
land where we can laugh
and smile without fear?

The bittersweet day turns
to a poignant night as
I sit and write this song
in your memory.

I miss you more than
words can say, but
I know you will always
wait for me ...

I love you, Daddy,
but I just want to
dance in the rain with
you one last time ...
