she sings her sad sweet lullabies.
I close my weary eyes as she sings
of sleep's promises and other things.
She carries me upon her melody
beyond life's harms and tragedy.
Each note is spun of pure energy
and wrapped in blissful harmony.
Her voice it echoes through the night.
It rings so clear, so brilliant and bright.
With her song I dream sweet dreams
which carry me above life's screams.
So sing your song to me once more.
Take me gently to that distant shore.
Here beside the steady ocean’s roar
I might find that love I held before.
