i was driving home
about two o' clock
you know my head was light
and the road was dark
back to my home
is where i'm going to creep
i pray to god
that you're aleep
wish i hadn't drank so many beers
reminds me of
my list of fears
my list of fears
number ten on my list of fears is losing all of my hair
number nine on my list of fears is being unaware
number eight of my list of fears is being drunk in my car and not being able to steer
my list of fears
avoiding cops
i weave and dodge
until i'm safe
back in my garage
i see no lights
and that's a real good sign
don't want to see
that little girl of mine
i got something ringing in my ears
reminds me of
my list of fears
my list of fears
number seven on my list of fears is the threat of nuclear war
number six on my list of fears is people thinking that i'm a bore
number five on my list of fears is hearing things that i really don't want to hear
my list of fears
unlock the ddoor
and i stumble in
you know i can't afford
to make a din
upstairs i crawl
to the bedroom door
my knees are weak
and my throat is sore
feeling dizzy, wish my head would clear
reminds me of
my list of fears
my list of fears
number four on my list of fears is dying and going to hell
number three on my list of fears is being locked up in a cell
number two on my list of fears is the effects of the drugs i've been taking all these years
my list of fears
the room is dark
but i smell your tears
i will comfort you
i will ease your fears
i strike a match
i turn the candle on
i burn my hand
when i see you've gone
packed your things but left behind your tears
reminds me of my list of fears
my list of fears
number one on my list of fears is coming home to find that you're not here
number one on my list of fears is coming home to find that you're not here
