His Majesty, the Prince

Poetry By: rofltaco
Song lyrics

Something I wrote in a downswing, it's about the feelings of coping with, to put it bluntly, being dumped/played. Comments and Critisism greatly appreciated, as I don't normally do lyrics

Well when you think back to that special time,

Butterflies around you and you stepped in time

To the music playin' in your head.

When the cell phone ringing brought the best of news,

When the troubles facin' you were easily excused

By the music playin' in your head.

Say, I remember way back then,

To the merry time and time again,

Before we said, "I'm sorry" more than we cared to count.

Thinkin' things all would follow through,

Not knowing that loosing you

Would close in all the fear too much to count.

Well man I thought had it all,

With the prettiest damn girl at the whole ball,

Swayin' and twirlin' close to my shaking arms.

Believed that she made true those dreams,

Secede from happy memories,

Of comfort, flashing lights and swaying arms.

Gripping at my heart (you've torn it)

Bleeding from the start (you've worn it)

As a crimson badge to show all you meet.

Tears flow fast (I couldn't take it)

Breaking down (why can't I shake it?)

Happily to his majesty, the prince who swept you off your feet.

Right off of your pretty fucking feet

When I think back to that lovely time,

When all silken lace would intertwine

When frilly little love notes passed underneath the desks.

You know I never even tried, never fought,

My heart was lighter than you every would've thought.

How could I see the mallet, swinging for my chest?

Gripping at my heart (you've torn it)

Bleeding from the start (you've worn it)

As a crimson badge to show all you meet.

Tears flow fast (I couldn't take it)

Breaking down (why can't I shake it?)

Happily to his majesty, next prince who swept you off your feet again.

Right off your tormenting feet again

Gripping at my heart (you've torn it)

Bleeding from the start (you've worn it)

As a crimson badge to show all you meet.

Tears flow fast (I couldn't take it)

Breaking down (why can't I shake it?)

Happily to his majesty, the prince who swept you off your feet again.

Right off your corroding feet again

Now twenty years into my life

I'm looking back upon the strife

Of teenage love, come and passed,

Of feelings present of the past,

The empty eats at my insides

Stomach bleeding for it hides

Stomach bleeding for it hides

The tattered remnants of my heart.

Gripping at my heart (you've torn it)

Bleeding from the start (you've worn it)

As a crimson badge to show all you meet.

Tears flow fast (I couldn't take it)

Breaking down (why can't I shake it?)

Nevermore a majesty, they have all listened to me

Hope your happy off your fucking feet.

From man to man, you bounce right back,

To the only one you know you lack,

For he has overcome. For he will not digress.

Over the hurtles, clenching jaws,

Escaped the ever closing walls,

The fake, biting love you posses.

My chest won't mend, you've done your work,

I've made emends with different words

The ones you've spoken solemnly to rest.

"In all my life, I shall know not

What it means to tie the knot

And truly love the one standing across from me.

Forever will I be alone,

A grim reminder of condoned

Murder of the heart, please don't leave me."

Gripping at my heart (you've torn it)

Bleeding from the start (you've worn it)

As a crimson badge to show all you meet.

Tears flow fast (I couldn't take it)

Breaking down (why can't I shake it?)

Nevermore a majesty, they have all listened to me

Hope your happy off your pretty feet.

Goodnight.
