Since you are born, in this world

You know, that everything will soon be over

You embrace, the blanket of stars

But they, start to fade away

And in the shadows, you know I will be

And, in the shadows

You know I'm staring at you

Dear innocence

Makes you try to run from me

In denial, you erase from your head

But my image is anywhere you look at

And you grow older

And colder

And you will die

Believing in a lie

But don't worry

I will treat you right

Stupid innocence

Make you forget who brought you here, who made the rules

I am eyeless but I see

That you all belong to me

You know, that you were born to die

You know, that the promise, is a lie

And still, you try

You look away, like a frightened child

I am here, to set you free

To another prison, but free of this

So why you fear me?

Don't try to run from me

Lost innocence

Makes you stare at me, fully awake

Try to beat the fear, try to take a look at me

So unexpected, beneath my shadows, when you look at me

You will see yourself
