There she lies
in a crowded room undisguised
but nobody recognize
and there she is with the group
but the others sit in front of her
not enough to block her out
just enough to make a statement
to tell her she's not there
and there she is in the music room
playing softly on the piano
wanting so desperately
for someone to walk in
and tell her she's amazing
tell her she's amazing
but no one walks in
and she is alone
always alone
will it always be this way
will i always be
invisible
invisible to the naked eye
do i have to cry
to get your attention
do i have to make a scene
do i have to scream
for someone to hear me
cause nobody hears me
no one ever hears me
and there she is with her phone
recording something deep
something sweet
a perfect melody
but no one hears
and no one knows
and no one cares
and there she is with the group again
trying to tell her friends
something funny her teacher said
but before she gets to the punchline
they all turn away
and she does not exist
and there she is in her room
imagining a world
in which what she has to say
has some importance
silly girl, dont wish for things you cannot have
dont wish for things you cannot have
impossible, impossible
will it always be this way
will i always be
invisible
invisible to the naked eye
do i have to cry
to get your attention
do i have to make a scene
do i have to scream
for someone to hear me
cause nobody hears me
no one ever hears me
and once upon a time there was a little girl who thought she owned the world
and once upon a time there was a little girl who thought she was special
and once upon a time there was a little girl and people listened to what she had to say
and once upon a time that little girl grew up into what i am today
and once upon a time a little girl let herself fade into the backround
and now she's gone
she's gone
she's gone
and now she's gone
and once upon a time a little girl let herself become invisible
and there she is but you can't see her, completely invisible
I am invisible
