You're practically perfect, you're really sweet
Everyone likes you and you like everybody
And you like to read, and you're a grammar nazi
And you like Mario and skateboarding
But your biggest flaw makes me uncomfortable
And I know that you don't think it's a flaw
And I know we haven't talked about it
'Cause I've been just pretending it doesn't exist
And the earth is spinning and we're sitting here
And the gods are waiting and we're sitting here
And the stars are shining and we're sitting here
But I've heard the stars only appear to shine because of the atmosphere
And you see the problem with me is that I trust to easily
So to compensate I don't talk to anybody
And I don't beleive in second chances
I beleive in 3rd, in 4th, in 5th, in 6th, in 7th chances
Which could only lead to the end of me
And the earth is spinning and we're sitting here
And the gods are waiting and we're sitting here
And the stars are shining and we're sitting here
But I've heard the stars only appear to shine because of the atmosphere
And if you peer beyond this atmosphere and you come across a star
You'll find that stars don't shine, and stars don't twinkle
They burn, they're huge, they're dangerous
And sometimes they explode and leave a big black hole
Which sucks matter in, and no one really knows what it is
But I bet it would hurt
I bet it would hurt
I bet it would hurt
And the earth is breathing and we're sitting here
And the gods are dreaming and we're sitting here
And the moon is shining, but that's only a reflection from the sun
Otherwise it's just a rock
And the earth is withering and we're sitting here
And the gods are dying and we're sitting here
And the stars are wondering what the hell I'm going to tell you
But I don't know how to say yes,but no
I don't know how to say yes
But no
