Everything I’ve learnt
I know how much this is worth but
Oh do you know how much it hurts?

I know honesty’s the best policy
But it’s killing me this veracity

It is cruelty, teasing
Because you should know that

A lesson in life lessons
Pay attention
It might pop up unexpectedly
Like you did

Like a crazy idea
That someone had once
When they thought that
We should be together

I knew the answer
Before all of this
The falling in love

Now things have changed
I’m convinced that so have the answers

Too busy dwelling

I skimmed over the beginning
Skipped to the ending
Found the conclusion
That’s what caused this confusion
My impatience
Well I won’t make that mistake

This veracity is killing me
So hard now I know

Since when are we meant to be?
