I met her at a bar one crazy night
She was as wild as they can come
Heard she never been with same guy twice
Decided right then and there
She was gonna be mine that night
Shot after shot
I held her hand
Till yes was all she could understand
Said I loved her
She said it too
In the morning she had a fright
But it didn’t matter cause I knew
She can take off her ring
She can leave it on
Doesn’t matter either way
Cause at the end of the day
She’s got my last name
And that’s all that matters to me
I’ll hold her close every night I get
Knowing it might be our last
And every lonely sleepless night
I lay there asking myself why
But in the morning
When she comes back to me
Ill kiss her good moring
And ignore the other guy I smell
I’ll find peace of mind
In that ring she wears
And I’ll know she’s mine
Till she doesn’t come home again
Sometimes she’ll run
Sometimes she’ll stay
Doesn’t matter either way
Cause at the end of the day
She’s got my last name
And that’s all that matters to me
It’s been so long now
Since I’ve seen her face
Since I held her close at night
Last time I heard
She’d found a lover in good ol’ Mexico
And she holds him instead
Every night I’m ok
Every night I sing goodnight
To the little girl
With someone else’s eyes
But I love her like my own
Cause she’s got my last name
Bring on tomorrow
Bring on forever
Doesn’t matter either way
Cause at the end of the day
She’s got my last name
And that’s all that matters to me
