Ding Dong Bell

Page 1, Poem, Song Lyrics written 07/31/2012

Ding Dong Bell's life went to hell

in a hand basket.

All wasn't well when they dumped him and he fell

into his wooden casket.

He got ran right over while sniffing the clover

on a sunny day.

Flattened by a steam roller in the lttle town of Dover

in the month of May.

His mother told him when she couldn't hold him

while crossing the street.

Don't be so nim but his head was so dim

over a girl so sweet.

There was no way when he was in a daze

she took his breath.

She yelled for him to stay but it was to late

and he met his death.

Chorus:

A sad song to sing well

I know it's hard to tell

but that's the way it goes

that's the way it goes.

The lad Ding Dong Bell

is nothing but a flat shell

from his head to his toes

his head to his toes.

He got ran right over while sniffing the clover

on a sunny day.

Flattened by a steam roller in the lttle town of Dover

in the month of May.

They burried him in the paper that came out later

that afternoon.

His mother just couldn't hate her when she left on a freighter

late wife of the groom.

His mother told him when she couldn't hold him,

while crossing the street.

Don't be so nim but his head was so dim

over a girl so sweet.

There was no way when he was in a daze

she took his breath.

She yelled for him to stay but it was to late

and he met his death.

(Repeat chorus)
