I could drive a thousand miles away
But at night, I'd still see your face
I could play pretend I don't care
But in my heart, you'll always be there
I could lie and win the fight
But I don't wanna do that, do I?
You seem to have a hold on reality (on me)
I'm fighting back, but the storm's so heavy
You'd seal the crack, but I'm still falling.
I'm coming back... but this time I'm ready.
Stuck to you like all of this is pulling me under
all of the rain, but none of the thunder
The hail comes slowly, but the snow comes fast
It's like like a burning flame, but it just won't last
You seem to have a hold on reality
I'm fighting back, but the pain's so weakening
You'd seal the crack, but I've fallen so deep.
If I come back, then I'll be ready.
Life's too short, you haven't lived at all
Have you even gotten the chance to fall?
