What happened at WWE's Summerslam, and who did I predict would win each match.

The stage was set for the biggest event of the summer, and it didn't dissapoint. The card was filled to the brim with great and enticing matches, featuring some of the best talent contracted within the WWE. I was sad to see people like The Big Show, Mark Henry, The Shield & Ryback not being included, but, as I said, the show more than made up for itself.

Natalya VS Brie Bella

Based on the popularity of the new E! Television series, Total Divas, WWE Management decided to have two of the show's stars face off in an epic clash. Natalya of the Hart family faced off against one of the Bella Twins, specifically Bryan Danielson's (Daniel Bryan) girlfriend.

Prediction: Brie Bella

I thought Brie would win based on the hype the Bella Twins had in coming back.

Result: Natalya

Rating: C

Pre-Show: United States Championship

Dean Ambrose (c) VS Rob Van Dam (RVD)

RVD defeated 19 other men on Monday Night Raw to become the number 1 contender for Dean Ambrose's United States Championship. Facing one of the member's of the faction 'The Shield' would be a great one for RVD since returning back at Money In The Bank.

Prediction: Dean Ambrose retains. DQ matchup. RVD wins.

I thought The Shield would interfere and cost RVD the match as RVD's contract is only a part-time one, and I don't think WWE Management would give him the title from an up and coming superstar. The best way to keep each ego in tact would be to have the other two members of The Shield invade.

Result: RVD wins by DQ and Dean Ambrose retains.

Rating: B+

Ring Of Fire Match:

Kane VS Bray Wyatt

The Devil's favourite demon would take on the insane man formerly known as Husky Harris in the first ever 'Ring Of Fire' match. After the assaults Kane endured, time was up for Bray Wyatt.

Prediction: Bray Wyatt.

Bray is new, and an upcoming star, so I expected him to defeat Kane, even though I thought it was a bad idea to have a match that would typically be in Kane's favour and have him lose.

Result: Bray Wyatt.

Rating: B+

Mixed Intergender Tag Match:

Dolph Ziggler & Kaitlyn VS Big E Langsten & AJ Lee

Dolph's ex-girlfriend and her friend Big E were up for a fight against Dolph himself and AJ's ex-best friend Kaitlyn from the Chickbusters. In the best mixed tag match in a long time, all the competitors fought with a fierce drive.

Prediction: Dolph Ziggler & Kaitlyn

Dolph is establishing himself as a babyface, and Kaitlyn needs a win with this rivalry with AJ Lee. Also, I don't think Big E would easily defeat Ziggler at Summerslam, which is one of the year's biggest PPV's.

Result: Dolph Ziggler & Kaitlyn

Rating: B

Cody Rhodes VS Damien Sandow

The two members of Rhodes Scholars collided in a match brought on by Damien's foul play during the Money In The Bank matchup that made Cody a babyface, and Damien the current holder of the MiTB briefcase.

Prediction: Cody Rhodes

I think that WWE Management wants to go somewhere with these two superstars, and I was thinking that Cody would win, but Damien would cash in after the World Heavyweight Championship match and win the championship, meaning that Cody could become the number 1 contender.

Result: Cody Rhodes

Rating: B

World Heavyweight Championship:

Alberto Del Rio (c) VS Christian

The wealthy Alberto Del Rio is set to go up against Christian, with aid from all of his peeps in the arena. Christian asked for "One More Match!" and he got it.

Prediction: Christian

I thought for sure that Del Rio's title reign would end. I am sick of his gimmick, and I thought management would make Christian win, and perhaps Damien cash in to get fresh faces in the title picture.

Result: Alberto Del Rio

Rating: C+

Beast VS The Best:

Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman VS CM Punk

Brock Lesnar doesn't often appear, but when he does, wrestlers all around the company are aware, and try to not make him angry. CM Punk had endured too much from Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar and Curtis Axel, and wanted desperately to end it, while the beast in Brock Lesnar wanted to break Punk for good.

Prediction: CM Punk

I thought it would be one of the typical storylines where someone takes so much punishment, and everybody is against them, and then they'd come out on top, meaning that Punk would win.

Result: Brock Lesnar

Rating: A-

WWE Championship:
John Cena (c) VS Daniel Bryan

John Cena was asked to choose his Summerslam opponent, and chose Daniel Bryan to be his challenger, based on what the WWE Universe had to say. The stage was set for a match that would possibly be a Slammy nomminee by the end of the year, while Triple H (The Game) stood by as the guest referee.

Prediction: Daniel Bryan, and Randy cashes in.

I think that Daniel Bryan would win, showing the WWE Universe that he can step up to the plate, and be the 'Best Guy', and then Randy Orton would initiate his highly anticipated heel turn, and cash in his WWE MiTB contract to win the title.

Result: Daniel Bryan wins. Triple H betrays Bryan and Orton comes in and wins the WWE Championship.

Rating: A+

The best match of the night for me was the WWE Championship one, and it was surrounded by controvercy, as was it the night after on RAW when Daniel Bryan suffered a severe beatdown by the hands of The Shield and the McMahon family, and Cena is out for 6-8 months as he is injured. I left hating Triple H, but I'm glad the storyline went as it did. A+ for that too.

I rate this PPV 9.1/10. There wasn't much it could improve on.
