There’s this place I go
That besides me no one does know
Where the sun shines at all the right times
The beauty of this place is way above the comprehension of your minds
Surprisingly this place is open to all of you
What you do at this place is an activity few care to do
Occasionally I walk in circles at this place
And every week I run a race
When I go to this place every day
The ground beneath my feet warms me, in a unique kind of way
Tiny pieces of rubber have held my secrets and every memory
This rubberized surface, it is me
Alone at this place no one knows
What I go through, my struggle, my woes
This place has influenced me more than anyone ever could
Every conflict I was dealt, this place, it understood
Giving me a supernatural calm and the feeling of tranquility
Because of my incredible ability
To run
Usually I’m in the company of others when on the track
But that doesn’t matter to me because while I’m there,
I have my soul back
