This is a piece directly about life and my relation to depression, poetry and how I deal with things -- the title is somewhat lifted from the excellent Metallica song, and I hope that the structure of this poem is as pleasingly complex as some of their most subtle songs.
The start of (most likely) a trilogy, dealing with death, and someone close to me being struck by cancer. I used this medium to relate my feelings to the page, and cycle new thoughts.
This is the poem of a guy who had crashed on his motorcycle, and is now in heaven looking back at his life.
