Letting go of all that is inside and holding you down
from being who you are. Washing your hands and saying good by to bad memories.
Goodbye Soldier is a telling of how little time there is to cherish all of the beautiful moments together. It is a telling of brief reunitement and an all too soon departure.
This is the first poem I have written in about 4 years. I wrote it the day I broke up with my boyfriend of 3 years. Let me know what you think.
