This is true. These are real feelings. The beginning is me getting over the guy I used to like, and then remembering my best guy friend (heads up not Mathew).
I see myself through you.
Through your love.
Through your smiles.
Through your eyes.
Lionheart's challenge! After a week of thinking through it, re-writing poem after poem (all with different ideas) I finally came up with this.
For those of you who don't know the challenge, Lionheart gives you five words in which you must place into your poem.
Ha-Ha I don't think this poem...
This poem is about my father and how his alcoholism affects me.

Dedication: To all parents! Of daughters and sons!
While digging through some older and forgotten papers, of mine, I came across a poem I must have written in 1998. The year when my son went away to college. 9 years before writing and posting
It was only a boy I feel in love with. It took only a boy to change my opinion of life. Only a boy...he did so much.
This is completely fiction, but still...I connect to it in many ways. No, I have never been in love. So for the moment, this is my perception of love.
I dont think that i should summarize this story. It will be better if you just read it and find out the facts for yourself.

This poem is a continuation of my poem entitled "I Just Gotta Let Go". It shows what has just happened between me and my ex best friend. We've now forgiven each other and become friends again, though it'll be awhile before we're ever bffs again.
I wrote this when I was dating someon who is still very special to me. He inspired me to be a better person :)
