A piece I wrote in my creative writing class in which we attempted to model Hemingway's style of dialogue and subtext.
two teenagers try to talk things out after one of them tries to commit suicide.
A women spends a sleepless night working up the nerve to hand divorce papers to her husband the next day.
On a mundane metro ride, the ruminations of two very different people soon seems to show more poignant and tragic implications. A story about how people's dreams and fears show themselves up in the most common place stream of thoughts.
This is a monologue I wrote/performed for a project based on the book, "A Farewell to Arms" by Ernest Hemingway. If you haven't read it I suggest you have, it takes place through the eyes of Catherine Barkley, a British nurse who falls in love with Frederic Henry, and American ambulance driver....
