To those who judge. It is how I felt after being judged by some people who called themselves my friends.

Okay, this is the first contest I'm managing here on Booksie. The name kind of sums it up, you take a title, then write the story for it.

It's obviously not one of my poems, but this is my opinion on stereotyping.

Growing up, I was bullied and I've started to become more open about it, especially through poetry. This is one of two poems so far that I have written about those days. This specific one is actually about this guy in my AP Biology class that has been harassing me since sophomore year.

Who are you and i to judge weather a person has sinned. When you lay in bed what do you think about.
Many people judge others based on looks,
You're a nerd if you like books,
A prep if you are always happy,
A "female dog" if you're bratty,
A jock if you do sports,
A slut if you wear short shorts
But thats the beauty of it,
And you shouldnt care about stupid shit,
If we didnt judge each other...

A commentary on natural behaviors vs. ideas about sin.
Inspired by a poem I read that was written by Kimberly Hinton.
Something I wrote when I was eight so not as good as my work nowadays but the message is a very meaningful one so I felt the need to publish it.
