I was originally going to submit this to the Reader's Digest 100 Word Story Competition, but submitted something else instead. I really like this one though.
Ben's selfish abusive acts turn unforgiving and star has to take to the edge of the building to get him to listen. Failing to get the issue solved star jumps but something unusual happens as she hits the floor.
This is a short story in the spirit of Halloween. I hope you enjoy the read.
The title of Truth or Dare reflects very much the content of the storyline - Do you dare speak the truth on our journey through life, sparing others of the hurt we would otherwise inflict upon them.

Teenage years are for such anecdotes that are complete with schmaltz, cliches and heartbreak. It is the old screenplay: Judy is in love with Caleb while Caleb cannot even love himself. Hopefully, the twist at the end will add some novel perspective.
