A new Alice came

Pale purple eyes surveyed his surroundings
What kind of place was so blackened and dead?
Where had he gone?
Why was he here?

A poem inspired by the happening of the holocaust .
This is a story of a mother who sacrifice her life in helping her son to survive the Death March. The story is inspired by true events and stories that took placed during the agonizing march that claimed thousands of lives to the American-Filipino POWs in the hands of their captors.
Thank you to Wilbur for providing a song I've never heard by an artist I don't know. The song is Agaus de Marco by Antonio Jobim. He wrote it in Portugese, and later translated it into English. The words are breathtaking and the song is a spunky jazzy tune with a sweet piano.
