The stained memories of a mother.....
To your right lies all that you wish to escape from. To your left lies the gateway to your dreams. Yet all you can do is watch the days go by, beautiful though they may be.
Hope, humanity, and life in general.
Iâ€™m cold. Iâ€™m so, so cold. And what makes me lose my mind is that it wonâ€™t go away, no matter what I do. No matter how hard I try, the spine-chilling, nerve-racking cold is there, every step of the way.

I recently went on a hike with my two daughters; one of which brought her new boyfriend. It was cold and long but fun and memorable.
*This was written for the Winter contest. It is a small side story based off of my novel Human Limits.*
Travis can't wait for snow since it gives him good memories. However, there is no sign of snow, so he goes out into an expedition. Maybe snow isn't what he really wants.
