I wrote this while painstakingly writing a 20 page research paper and staying up all night. In my delusional tired state I managed to scribble out a few lines.
"Each day is a little life: every waking and rising a little birth, every fresh morning a little youth, every going to rest and sleep...
Just writing about my experiences being a loner.
Upon my fingertips I have counted
the number of times my heart has been broken.
The number of times I have said no more.
The number of times I have said once more.
For everyone whose ever felt a sense of loss as their best friends get married. It may the natural order of things, but it still hurts those who are left behind. I've tried to explain those feelings through poetry, thus turning my pain into beauty, into something that others who have also...
