This was a project assigned at school after reading "The Pearl," by John Steinbeck. Everyone told me it was amazing, but I don't know. It was really hard! Btw, it's a sonnet.

steinbeckian vs. bradburyan. for some reason this poem reminds me of bob dylan (not his writing, just him as a person).
It's a work in progress. Not finished yet. My idea for the ending is basically the two of them attending a highschool party. Probably finish with one of them being led up to a bedroom by some guy. I dunno. It may not finish if you all say it sucks.
