Hi. Well, I'm a bit new to Booksie and story-writing in general. Actually I've never written, planned, or even thought out a full length story in my entire life. I'm a complete rookie for story-telling. When I was in elementary school, growing up, I disliked writing, and hated readng. In fact, I had to get a tutor to help me with my spelling, grammar, and reading because I never read unless forced to. Every book I ever began to read left me bored. I liked drawing instead.

One evening my dad began reading a book to my brother and I. He even did all the voices, and for the first few chapters I was bored. He read to us every night. But then the book got interesting and my brother and I begged by dad to read more even though t was past our bed-times. The book was called "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone". After that I began searching for fantasy books and began to enjoy reading for the first time.

For awhile now, even the published books found in bookstores and such, none of the stories seemed just right. I liked the stories, but there were sections of the story that were sometimes boring. I would go back to the parts I liked, and read them over and over. I wished there were books  that were full of only the parts I liked, and I descided if I wanted a story that I enjoyed the whole way through I should make one myself. I've found that many of the stories on Booksie don't have boring parts like the ones I find in other places, so it's fun to read stories here.

Currently I'm working slowly on The Dawn of Magic but I've also begun to type out the beginning of another story which I'm a little excited about.

Myself? Hm. There's not much to say. Well, no, I guess I should mention that I am a bit shy. Okay, maybe more than a bit. I've never really seen myself as a writer.  One slow evening, helping backstage at the theature, I decided to put a few ideas on paper. I surprised myself. Not only was it not complete jibberish, but better yet, it was fun. I had never written like that to have fun. So here I am again, trying something new. I don't know how often I'll write, or type rather. I'd really enjoy feeback, tips, and yes, criticism. I am shy, but please, if you have some tips, corrections, or anything you want to say then please speak your mind. =) I often tend to ramble, and I'm still trying to find balances between the pace of the writing and the detail of descriptions. So any tips, ideas, comments would be much appreciated. If you ask me to read any of your writing, unless I'm too busy or something's keeping me from checking Booksie, then I'll probably read it. I'd love to help in that way if I can.

I spend most of my reading in the fantasy genre. My favorite mix in a book is an action-adventure sort of fantasy, with a bit of romance mixed in.

Likes: The color blue, cool sumer days, warm fall days, weekends, starting a good book series (I love it when I find a great book and find out the story continues in many other books ^_^), the ocean, forests (minus the bugs), good hair cuts (gotta love that light-weight feeling, knowing you'll have less tangles to try to brush out in the morning), good dreams, mild roller-coasters, beautiful landscapes, the feeling of calm, and being at peace.

Dislikes: Spiders, the 'it's-on-the-tip-of-my-tongue!' feeling, feeling sick, being ignored when I want to be heard, having the full attention of everyone at a time I'd rather be invisible (I guess that's life. Gotta love it.), large text-books, rainy weeks (I don't mind a rainy day or two, but a week's rediculous!), and the moment of dread when finishing the last book on the stack, series, or which ever.

I know many people use music to help them with their writting, and I do too. Well, sort of, I can't listen to music most of the time while writing because I lose my train of thought. But between paragraphs, when taking breaks, or when I run out of ideas I listen to music. Not really one sort of music, I don't have one favorite. It's more like one or two songs I'll listen to repeatedly in one day. I suppose my taste in music is very random.

July 22 song(s) of the day: Heavy in Your Arms by Florence and The Machine, Apologize by Timbaland  Feat. One Republic, You Found Me by The Fray

A few Booksie authors and their amazing stories I really enjoyed reading (no particular order): Western Engel by Kilo, White Canvas by vanth, One Step at a Time by Anonymous23, Dream Lovers, Dream Keepers, and Daylight's Shadow by Angelrose6, Dark Secrets by Sara Blake, His Charm by Leaaa, Twilight Vampires, and Locked to a Vampire's Heart by MissRachyVengeance, Wolf Obsession by Wolfobsessed.
