The noises were growing louder and louder, creeping closer towards me by the second. My feet pounded against the pavement trying to block out the sound of their taunts. But it was no use. I could feel myself slowing down as their footsteps grew louder, but I had to keep going.
"No use running, child!" A rough voice cackled from within the darkness. I have to get away from here. I came to an abrupt halt. My breaths came out quick and jaggered. My legs felt as if they would give way any second now. My eyes scanned the area looking for a way out.
"Ana," A voice called from the darkness stopping me in my tracks. I could no longer hear the terrifying voices or the sound of their footsteps edging closer towards me. I looked around, searching for the person who spoke but all that met my eyes were trees and darkness. I ran to the nearest tree, but what's the point?
How do you hide from the devil if you dont know what he looks like?
The flickering street-lights weren't giving me any closure but only made me more paranoid. My gaze landed on a bench. Wait that wasn't there before.. Was it?
"Ana darling, don't be alarmed. I'm not going to hurt you."
My head snapped in the direction the sound came from. My face became a ghostly pale. There was now a man sitting at the bench. He cocked his head to the left and threw me a flirtatious smirk. There was something strange about him. He was.. Glowing? I stood there completely still starring at him as if I was in a trance. He was so alluring, so breathtakingly mesmerizing yet someting about him told me he was a disaster waiting to happen.
"Come to me my sweet Ana.."
My feet edged towards the copper haired man who was now standing a few feet before me. My mind said no but my body thought otherwise. I was in a war with myself and I didnt like it. My body was possessed and there was nothing I could do about it.
Suddenly, my body was pushed against the cold, hard ground. The weather had changed almost instantly from a deathly cold to a brain melting heat. I felt as if i'd crash-landed directly into the sun. Without warning, someone or something began dragging my limp body along at a fast speed. My skin tore and blood began to ooze out of my new cuts. I shhrieked in pain but that only made it pull me harder and faster.
I looked over my shoulder to see that i was being pulled towards a large pit. I looked around me panicking, searching for something to hold onto but all that surrounded me was rrocks, sand and heat.
"Don't be afraid, my love. It'll be over soon." The same voice called out to me but this time it wasnt calm or soothing but vicious and mean.
Panic and fear were the only two emotions I could feel. I honestly didn't know what to feel. I was now a few feet away from the large pit . My eye caught a bright light.
I could feel the heat melting my skin away. I closed my eyes waiting for the fire to eat my flesh away. Then I went over.
I woke up in a pool of sweat. It was just a dream. Relief took over my body. Still not over the shock, I closed my eyes in an attempt to calm my nerves. I turned to my left and I could've sworn my heart almost ripped out of my chest.
He was here.
Then everything went black.
