He awoke.
It was dark, so very dark; anything could be existing in the silence and he would have no idea. He looked around, no source of light existed in this world of black . There were no measurements he could make from his surroundings. it was neither hot nor cold; not a sound; no light, and no balence. He stood up, then fell down again, not aware of the reason why he stood up or why he fell down. He treid to remember but all that resulted was a knowledge of just knowing how to walk.

He knew he was a 'he', that was the first thought that fired through his brain and the last of anything concerning his own existence. He felt his body, he was wearing clothes but no shoes, his fingers ran through his hair and he began poking his face in wonderment. This was the only way he could no what he 'looked' like and from his investigation he was thin, very thin, and he knew that this was a problem. Now that he thought about it he was very hungry, and although he had no idea of what food he liked or even what was to be considered food but he definitely needed some. The saliva in his mouth was of salivating more than if preparing to spit, where could he find something edible if he did not know what it looked like?

He began to explore his surroundings with his hands, he then pushed himself up so he was sitting leaning over to explore more. Something strange then happened, he began to thing about other things, in his mind he thought of a place he was in. He was sitting in the same position as now with loads of little people sitting in the same way around him, in the same direction towards another person standing making marks on a white wall. The person turned and made noises similar to the ones in his own thoughts then turned back and made more marks on the wall. His mind returned to the darkness of the current moment, with his hunger raving now through his body. His arms continued to search the area as he began to make some observations as to the floor he was on, it was smooth, so smooth as his hands glided their way across with out friction or difficulty.

His mind began to wonder as to where he actually was, what was the place he now sat and probably the most important question why was he there. But before he could delve in to these issues the a light suddenly shone into his eyes...
