Scene One
INT. MORNING
BLACK SCREEN FADES TO WHITE THEN IT ZOOMS OUT TO SHOW THE SUN TRHOUGHT AN OPEN WHINDOW.
ZOOMS FARTHER. A shadow of a body hanging from a still running ceiling fan.
JEREMY ANDERSON, 21, has long hair and two piercing on his lower lip. His hands are dripping blood forming a pool under his body.
CLOSE UP TO JEREMY ANDERSON'S MOUTH, A FLY COMES OUT OF IT.
JEREMY ANDERSON (V.O)
There's something wrong going on here Jordyn. I can feel it, can't you?
The screen turns black and we see Jeremy's face again, this time alive. Zoom out. Jeremy is sitting in bed.
JEREMY ANDERSON (continue)
Are you listing to me Jordyn?
JORDYN (O.S)
Five suicides, ten rapes, and two family massacres all in five months. All in campus or by students of the same university. I read your article and everybody is talking about it.
JEREMY ANDERSON
(Yelling)
In our university
JORDYN MARTINS, 19, is petite with dark hair. Jordyn comes out from a door, teeth brush in her mouth she pulls her hair into a pony tail and pulls her teeth brush out of her mouth before speaking.
JORDYN
(sighs)
Look Jer. I know three of them were friends
(beat)
I'm sorry Jer but I don't know what to say. Is just a big coincidence I guess.
Jeremy smiles a sad smile, he gets out of bed and hugs Jordyn.
Close up- -Jeremy smells Jordyn's neck his eyes turn black with no white in them, he closes his eyes.
JEREMY
(open his eyes and they look normal)
I would never do that.
JORDYN
I know
JEREMY
I'm afraid.
Jordyn
Don't be, nothing will happen to you… to us.
JEREMY
(Whispering)
Somebody is watching me. I can feel eyes on me all the time. I think I'm next.
Jordyn pulls from the hug and glares at Jeremy before turning her back and walking to the bathroom.
WATER SOUND
EXTREME CLOSE UP Jordyn's brown eyes.
JORDYN (V.O)
I thought he was losing his mind. I thought he was depressed after losing three of his friends to suicide, but now I understand something wrong is happening. Something very wrong is happening in the campus.
(sighs)
The worts part is that I lied to him.
(whispers)
Lately I've been feeling eyes on me all the time.
MALE (V.O)
Ms. Martins, is there something else you can remember about that morning?
Zoom out of Jordyn's eyes. Shows a gray room with a square table, Jordyn is sitting in one side, DETECTIVE GABRIEL MORALES in the other side. Gabriel, 29, Latin looking with a thick Spanish accent.
Jordyn is looking down her hands, she shocks her head from side to side.
JORDYN
I left his apartment at about eight thirty. He was upset
(beat)
But he wouldn't hurt himself. He isn't- -wasn't like that.
Detective Morales stares blankly at Jordyn for a heart beat then he looks to the mirror and signal with his two finger to open the door.
MORALES
I'm sorry for your lost Ms. Martins.
JORDYN
(whisper)
Thanks
MORALES
Officer Stevens is going to escort you back to campus, I advise you talk to your school's psychology.
Jordyn snaps her tearful eyes up to Morales.
JORDYN
Can I ask you something Detective?
Morales nods standing up of his sit as the door opened and a man stands in the threshold. EDWARD STEVENS, 22, stands 6'22", wears a dark blue police uniform.
JORDYN (Continue)
Do you think Jeremy killed himself?
Morales open his mouth and close it. Morales put a hand on Jordyn shoulder and guide her to the door.
MORALES
I'm sorry miss, but there's nothing pointing other way. We have no reason to look further.
JORDYN
Six suicides, ten rapes, and two family massacres all in five months.
MORALES
Humans beings are the most horrible animal out there. We destroy ourselves, is our nature.
JORDYN
(whisper)
Our nature.
Morales offers his hand to Jordyn to shake, but she walks out without looking at him or at the officer that was waiting to escort her back to campus.
