CHAPTER 16

Xavier rubbed his eyes and sighed as dozens of password failed to work. Xavier kicks the

fable knowing that the answers of his father were locked inside the Computer but couldn't get to it because of a password. Xavier heads towards a small kitchenette at the side of the lab. Tierra walks over and begins looking for some coffee or something to take the edge off Xavier's anger. Tierra rummages through the kitchenette but the cupboards are barren and wondered if Armando ever used this kitchenette. Tierra finds a bottle of Tequila and offers Xavier a drink. Xavier turns his head to took at the bottle and notices the label 'La Certeza Blanco' 'That's it, that's it". Xavier punched the air whooping with joy. Tierra was taken aback wondering what he was on as he hadn't touched the tequila. Xavier could see Tierra's eyes and reassures them "The bottle of Tequila you pulled was my Dads favourite and couldn't get enough of the stuff. Xavier gulped down the Tequila the sharpness reawakening and electrifying Xavier back into action

Tierra smiles sipping more of the tequila. Xavier types La Certeza Blanco into the computer.

The password screen disappears, Xavier's eyes light up. Tierra can see that they have

stumbled on something larger then both them had realised. Xavier searches the Computer

looking for anything that would be connected to his father and notices a video dip marked

Xavier and realised he had been expected. The video begins with Armando in front of the

Computer and Xavier notices that the video doesn't match their surroundings and has been recorded elsewhere. Armando turns to the camera after what seemed like a long pause. "Xavier my son, how l wish i could have seen you grow up and to have been there for you when your mum died. l cannot explain why l left but only to say sorry for the pain l must have caused. l had to leave because of a discovery that would have jeopardized you and your mum and l could not let that happen. Below you now is an Underground room. In it you will find the reason l left you and l hope that you be careful with the knowledge you are about to receive".

The video ends as Xavier pulls away from the Computer. Tierra walks towards Xavier

embracing him as tears rotted down his face. Xavier pulls back and looks back at Tierra.

Tierra looks at him sensing the pain deepening as new questions in him emerged "We better go to the vault and see what your father meant", Xavier nods and both head to a vault located under a disused metal grate at the farthest comer of the church. Xavier and Tierra descend a long winding staircase and could barely make out the corridor before them noticing through the only light was from the sunlight above. Xavier and Tierra looked around searching for a power switch. Tierra flicks on a switch and fluorescent lights go on lighting the vault before them. Tierra and Xavier could see a multitude of Computers as far the eye could see up to 6 ft high and powered down. Xavier wondered what he had uncovered and his father had been into. Tierra walks forward looking for any clue of what Armando had been involved in. Xavier looks at the Computers and could only guess at the amount of computing power before him and mumbled, "Whatever my father was involved in he needed a lot of Computers". Tierra carried on looking for the Computers but all were the same Computers behind glass panels. Then Tierra noticed a panel that looked different others and she wasn't sure why and bent down and touched the glass panel which opened itself. Tierra realised that this was what they had been looking for and called Xavier over "Xavier we've found it". Xavier walked over excited and could tell that his father had hidden his secret in plain sight. Xavier's hand reached out looking for a keypad or some way of opening the safe. Then Tierra looked to Xavier, Xavier looked back to Tierra "What you are looking at". Tierra smiled "Its not who l am looking at it what's l am looking at and reached for the key on Xavier's neck". Xavier realised what Tierra was on about and unwrapped the key off his neck and moved it towards the vault. The vault came alive as both could hear bolts undoing themselves. The noise stopped and Xavier could see the door had opened. Xavier and Tierra looked inside and were surprised by the absence of anything large and the only thing in the vault was a black plastic box and a note. Xavier could tell that it was from his father "Xavier get this to Armando". Xavier and Tierra smiled knowing that they had discovered something big but what they did not know.
