CHAPTER 32

Solomon looked out from the Gulfstream and looked over at the display. They were flying

over the Iranian border the sky was dark and there flashes of thunder in a distant cloud. Ava sat nearby working, finalising her plans and turned to look at him. She thought to herself "He is good, no complaints, no questions. The perfect soldier". Ava studied him and surprised herself by realising how attractive he was with his bald head, taught arms. Ava turned back to her laptop screen but hers eyes gave her double Vision. She closed the laptop screen and got up pouring herself a scotch drink and offered Solomon a drink, Solomon accepted "Thanks for the drink". Ava could see Solomon was elsewhere "You seem to be in another place". Solomon turned his to Ava "l was just thinking of my wife, oh how beautiful she was, golden hair the sweetest smile, all gone". Solomon took a gulp of whiskey. Ava was intrigued "What happened?" Solomon continued, "We were at home working, she was crossing the street totally clear. She stepped out when speeding motorcyclist came at her from nowhere and struck her and didn't stop and carried on. She died three days later. Today would have been our 5th anniversary and l still miss her". Ava felt for Solomon "Thats why do what you do". Solomon's face turned to anger "Maybe, maybe l want to find the bastard that killed her but l can't. Besides l enjoy what l do". Ava stopped her questions and sat by Solomon "You've got a job to do". Solomon nodded and realised how cold Ava was. Ava returned to her computer placing her hair in a ponytail and continued working.
