CHAPTER 58
Janice and the Superintendent drove to the rear of the police Station and walked in with the Superintendent without only a few people seeing them enter. The Superintendent walked to his Office. Janice knew she was alone. She knew that were other people she could contact but where more than three quarters were dead. The only ones remaining were a couple of junior grade technicians who had the fortune of being off the day the Centauri struck. The Superintendent gave her a desk and a secure phone. The Superintendent could see that she had been through a lot and walked to his office. Janice fumbled around in her mind trying to remember her training. She had been trained to handle the loss of part of the Harmonisers but any more than 50% was fatal. Janice suddenly got a phone call. She rummaged her pocket. It was a mobile but not her own. She answered 'This is Xavier can get l hold of Detective Kingston". Janice responded "Detective Kingston's not here at the moment. But l can help you". Xavier was unsure who this new voice was "Who is this what has happened to Detective Kingston". Janice knew she needed his help and that the detective was a traitor but chose to say nothing "Listen, can we meet somewhere neutral". Xavier thought for a moment "Okay l will meet you at , I'm not sure". Janice had a thought "Lets meet at Shrewsbury Station in 40 minutes". Xavier looked around he was in a Station and had sought sanctuary in there from the guard that was after him. He spotted a train leaving in 5 minutes "Okay. How will l recognise you". Janice had to think for a moment "I've got a pair of red leather gloves and a blue scarf". Xavier responded "Okay". The phone call ends. Xavier heads to the train
looking around to make sure he hadn't been followed.
Janice put the phone down she had a break. She wasn't sure how Xavier could be useful) but she needed his help against the Centauri and knew that information no matter small could decide victory.
