CHAPTER 67

Janice saw Xavier drive away and she knew that it was up to him and they could finality deal a blow to the Centauri group after years of effort and struggle. She wanted revenge badly for the men she had lost. As Janice re-entered the house she saw Miriam leaving the room. Miriam had kept back the details of Kingston's betrayal from her and wasn't sure if it was the right time to say anything.

Miriam walked on Vincent and sat with Janice and two other people. They all looked at each other and they all knew where the last of the Harmonisers. There was no calvary, no soldiers or troops. They all knew looking at each other. The attack at Hotaka House had crippled the Harmonisers. Miriam tried to look positive "l know that we're the last few. We're lucky to be here. We owe to our dead friends to see that Xavier succeed and the Centauri are brought up.

One of the two spoke up "How, how do we defeat a group like the Centauri when there is only 5 of us. Xavier was a good idea but it may not be enough. It could still fair. Miriam got up and eyed her friend "Jack this is all we have". The other person stood up. Miriam looked to him "Kevin what is if. Kevin spoke "Your right when you say that Xavier is our best shot. We still have contacts, friends who owe us favours. We can do this rebuild what we can. Don't forget the Harmonisers was created by the government to deal with the Centauri. The guy who helped set us up is still around. He has access to the things we need. Janice sat and thought "We have friends in London. Contacts we have. l need to speak to my contact. The group looked to her. Vincent spoke "London's to dangerous we can't go near there until all this is over".

Janice looked to the group and they were looking to her for advice and support. She knew

Xavier had been threw a lot and that this was there best shot but Janice knew she needed

another Option in case Xavier didn't work out. Janice looked to Kevin "Good idea lets use it. Kevin placed a call and the helicopter was arranged. All five got up. Janice said to them

"Listen l am best doing this alone. We don't know what we're up against London's a sight

popular with members of the Centauri. There are more of them then there are of us".

Everyone nodded knowing that Janice made sense. Janice left the house and was driven by Kevin to the helicopter.

The helicopter ascended. Janice felt alone and for the first time in many days. A tear crept

down her face as she thought of the friends who died.

The helicopter travelled fast reaching London in under 2 house. The helicopter landed dose to Greenwich, London.

Janice's contact stared the pool of the Tyson hotel and took a sip of English white wine. As

she sat Janice walked into the pool area and sat on the lounger. Her contact had anticipated her arrival "They won't see you. The Centauri aren't considered much of a threat". A waitress asked what Janice and she ordered the same as her boss. Janice was taken aback by the cold reaction of her contact. She had travelled over 300 miles and told that it wasn't worth the effort carry on and have a nice life. Janice wasn't accepting "What do you not much of a threat. The Harmoniser group is gone and we have major disruption in Shrewsbury thanks to the Centauri".

Her contact looked to her. The waitress brought Janice's drink. Janice was tempted to throw it over her "Jasmine. The Centauri represent the greatest threat in a least decade. Dare we make the same mistakes as we did with Iraq". That hurt Jasmine shot her a glance "That was different. Janice looked at her eyes narrowed and wasn't intimidated by her contact who was younger and inexperienced and was more of a glorified pen pusher but a pen pusher with contacts and access that Janice to take on the Centauri group.

Janice took a sip of her wine and wasn't sure how to react her bosses put down "Can you

least arrange me to see anyone". Jasmine knew Janice was pushing. She knew the Centauri where a threat but was holding not out of loyalty but out of fear. Jasmine knew many of her own friends had dealings with the Centauri group and trying to do anything would be difficult and potentially deadly. Jasmine got up and looked at Janice. Janice looked back and saw that Jasmine wanted to help Jasmine said "l will do as you ask. Stay here l will be back in 10 minutes".

Jasmine left Janice as she went out of the pool area into a neighbouring area. Janice looked on she knew she asking a lot and could possibly damage her career prospects in future but reckoned it was worth it.
