I shivered under my covers. Reaching over to my left, I expected to hear the cool rustle of pages, but I only felt air. I sat up, afraid. Where had they gone? I clawed away at my bed, searching for them. Oh no! Where were they!

My hand brushed one of the covers. I sighed in releif. They were right beside me like they always were. I pulled the book out to see it in the dull moon light. Twilight. The first book that had gotten me hooked. I flipped it open to a random page and started to read.

"Well, aren't you just an ernest little thing when it comes to these books?" a voice cackled, seemingly coming from nowhere. I dropped Twilight and sat bolt upright in my bed, my blood pounding through my heart.

"Who's there! Show yourself!" I yelled, panicking. The words seem so outragious, but I didn't care. Someone was in my bed room, and I didn't know who it was. A slim tall man appeared in the darkness.

"Evening! Lovely weather we're having eh?" he laughed, trying to make pleasant conversation. I looked at his face. A hungry expression lay there.

"What do you want?" I asked, shaking.

"Only your blood!" He laughed and he appeared by my bed so quickly, I didn't see him move. I tried to fight, but I could do nothing as he bent his head towards my neck.

~

The pain was excruciating. I couldn't beleive it. I was going to die!

Then the pain stopped. I struggled out of the bed that I found myself in. A TV was on and I noticed a picture of me on it.

"Three days ago, young Elizabeth Waller disappeared from her bed room. Police have no insight to her whereabouts, or her kidnapper."

I flipped the TV off.

~

Later I went down to the local church. It was a huge cathedral type thing. It was a cloudy day, hardly any sun at all. My eyes lingered over every persons necks. I couldn't beleive how much clearer everything was to me. My heart stopped. Figuratively. I noticed my heart wasn't beating at all. The thought freaked me out.

Was I a ghost?

A funeral was going on at the church. People in black were sobbing around a coffin, with a name inscribed on it.

"Elizabeth Waller. 1990 - 2008." I read slowly to myself. I walked over to a woman - my mother.

"Is there any body in this coffin?" I asked carefully. I didn't want to make my mother cry any more than she was.

"No. We don't know what's become of my little girl, but I hope that she's happy where ever she is." She touched the coffin gently. "Non nobis Domine sed nomini tuo da gloriam, my babe. Sed nomini tuo da gloriam. Remember us. Go on into glory..." she broke off and sobbed loudly, throwing herself on to the -MY- coffin.

I walked back to the house.

The man greated me there.

"I see you went to see your funeral? Touching isn't it, that they'd put a coffin in the grave yard, and you'll never have a coffin?" He laughed cruelly.

"My mother wants me to pass on."

"Non nobis Domine sed nomini tuo da gloriam, baby. Let God have glory! Let us have the world! You're a vampire now!"

***

I woke up screaming.

"Just a dream. Just a dream!" I gasped, hyperventilating. I got down on my knees and grabbed my crucifix.

"Non nobis non nobis Domine. Sed nomini tuo da gloriam." I intoned hastily, repeating the phrase several times. Not unto us, not unto us O Lord, but unto thy name give glory. "I don't want to die." I whispered.

"You know," said the all too framiliar voice, "that crucifix won't help you."
