This poem, is one that I wrote on a whim, so to speak....
I'm 26 years old, single mom of two wonderful kids. Currently enrolled in a college, and attending classes, to earn an Associates Degree in Business Administration. I know it seems to be a far cry from anything that has to do with writing, but I have learned more than you might think.
I have completed 2 full terms of school and I am working on my 3rd. I am the Student Council Treasurer, and I attend the Orientations for new students. I'm a busy woman, but I say that is what keeps me out of trouble.
Writing is what I do. I can write about nearly anything. I have written a few books, and ten times as many poems. I donate some time to my son's school, where I go in to his classroom and read a story to them. I love to read and hope to encourage young readers.
I love to learn. If I ever think of something and "why?", I go out in search of the answer.
I have friends in all parts of the US, and have experiences with many situations. I try to help anyone I can, or point them to someone who can help them.
All in all, I'm just me, that is all I can be.
