What terrible thing has happened to Willow Grove? Once a...
My first book 'The Wrath of Voodoo' was published in 2004 but since then I've turned to writing children's books. I write full-time; my first children's chapter book was published this year, entitled 'The Hippity Dippity Witch,' a heart warming story for children aged between six and nine. Embraced by its vivid imagery and endearing characters, readers will find themselves swept along with this magical adventure.
I live in the countryside and manage my own farm with my husband Donal. When not writing I like to walk the dogs, horse ride, read and travel. I did a creative writing course at The Killaloe Hedge School of Writing and previous to that, graduated from university with a degree in languages, history and sociology, following on from that I also obtained a diploma in freelance journalism. I taught English in Colombia for six months as part of my studies and spent another six studying French in Le Havre but my interests always lay in writing.
As a child, I had a huge imagination and loved all kinds of adventure, in particular getting up to mischief; climbing trees and exploring hidden passages, I loved playing make believe, creating a fantasy world that no adult could enter, I guess that's where my inspiration in writing for children came from.
