On Road To Silence In Company Of Towering Trees
That’s the first scene which meets the eyes when we enter inside theKhusro Baghfrom Railway Junction side. The evening was apleasantone when we landed at Khusru Bagh. The city had huge rainfall hours ago and so the atmosphere was filled with the scent of rain soaked earth. These towering tall trees added a new dimensionto the glamour of the beautifulatmosphere.
Myself In the Company Of These Tall Cute Trees!
How can one avoid spending few moments in company of these tall trees? The trees say so many things. Just try to talk with them and they unfold so many secrets of the nature.
The Three Sandstone Mausoleums: Symbol Of Mughal Architecture
Khusro Bagh is basicallya more than 400 years old large walled garden that contains the tomb of Mughal Emperor Jahangir’s one of the sons Prince Khusro. PrinceKhusrodared to revolt against his father Jahangir. He faced defeat in the battle of Bhairowal when his army failed to tackle the huge army of his father Jahangir. He was imprisoned and later killed on the directions of Shah Jahan then known as Prince Khurram. There are two other tombs one. One belongs to Khusro’s mother Shah Begum and other one belongs to Khusro’s sister Sultan Nithar Begum. It’s said that Shah Begum committed suicide by eatingpoisonbeing upset with Khusro’s ongoing conflicts with his father Jahangir.
Greenery Everywhere: The reason why I love rains!
The place is so green. It’s because it has developed into a center that produces best qualities of mangoes and guavas. Come summer and you find trees laden with mangoes of variousqualities. You will also notice various types of roses here as it holds one of the best plant nurseries of the city. Anyway, if mangoes are on trees how can you prevent children from hitting the green mangoes with stone? I have also done that many times caring a damn about the owners!

Bajranbali Baba finds a resting place inside the Khsuro Bagh. When he is there the bhaktas (devotees) also start arriving! In morning and evening we find Yoga Camps taking place, wherein both young and silver hairs are seen engaged in breathing exercises. May his blessings be always with us!!!

The long hanging roots of Banyan tree always fills one heart with bliss. How many episodes of life it would have seen standing all alone ?

In the presence of another ancient tree!
Usually the place is bustling with activities of all sorts. This place is hot favourite of students appearing for various competitiveexaminations. They arrive here during early morning hours and stay until the sun goes down. However, I manged to find some lonely corners for myself as this one. I am a loner and such places mired in silence are close to my heart.

A wonderful person who is always the man in hurry! Despite such busy schedule he has time for everyone. No wonder he found enough time to roam with me in the beautiful landscape. Though he tried his best to make me smile, it’s never an easy task to teach an old dog new tricks and so I kept flirting with seriousness in most of the images.

The man chases glory but in the end all roads that once lead to glory lead also to the graves. The empty roads suggest the same. A reason why I am madly in love with empty roads. Such a lovely road that passes through such a beautiful landscape.
