Saas-Fee is a good place for your annual vacation getaway. The village offers variety of entertaining activities for every season. With some useful tips you can turn you vacation into a lifetime experience.

1.How to get there? The extremely good transport structure of the Saas-Fee Valley allows easy access from anywhere in Switzerland. If you travel by plane, the Geneva, Basel, Zürich and Milan airports, which are three hours away from Saas-Fee if you use public transport. With a car people can go east via the Furka pass (in winter the Furka pass is closed), west-via Lausanne, north via Bern through the Lotscberg tunnel or south via Simplon Pass. If you like to travel by train it is useful to know that trains leave on every half-hour and arrive in Brig or Visp, where you have to change onto a Postbus, which leads directly to Saas-Fee.

It is important to know that Saas-Fee is a car-free zone and motorized vehicles are not allowed. Specially designed car-parks are created where tourists can load and unload their luggage. From the free public phones visitors can get an electric car to drive them around the village.

2.Accommodation. Switzerland is well known for its beautiful holiday rentals that offer comfort and cozy atmosphere. Saas Fee chalets are one of the best choices for a perfect vacation experience in this are. The wooden houses coalesce with the surrounding picturesque site, becoming part of the beautiful nature landscape.

3.Restaurants. The village has 42 restaurants (from gourmet to pizzerias), 11 mountain restaurants and 5 cafés. In Saas-Fee is the biggest revolving restaurant in the world with an exceptional view to the Swiss highest peaks. The Switzerland's highest restaurant "Metro-Alpin" is installed on a ledge, 3500 meters above sea level. While tourists sit comfortably and enjoy their tasty meals in the restaurant, they can observe the mountains Lenzspitze, Dom, Taschhorn, Allalinhorn, Alphubel, Rimpfischorn and the Strahlhorn. The breathtaking view needs to be seen because of its uniqueness. Other good restaurants are Fletschhorn, Vernissage Restaurant, Vieux-Chalet, etc.

4.Events. Saas-Fee hosts many popular events like the Snowboard and Freeski European cup, Ice climbing world cup, Glacier downhill bike race, Allalin races, New Years and carnival festivities and more. Tourists have the opportunity to meet famous celebrities that come to the village and stay in the beautiful holiday rentals Saas Fee. Summer events also gather lots of visitor who are interested in the annual traditional food festival "Genussmeile", the local wine tastings, the museum tours, etc.

5.Entertainment. The mountain village has a lot to offer when it comes to season activities. In summer the tourists enjoy the Adventure park in Saas Fee, the Alpine- and the mini- golf, mountain biking, wildlife watching, etc. Hiking in Saas Fee is the most popular entertainment in the summer season. The village provides 350 km of hiking trails, some of them themed. Mountaineers can enjoy climbing some of the highest mountains in Switzerland like Dom (4545 m).

In winter, the village gathers all ski and snowboard lovers, because of its excellent ski base. Saas-Fee offers 100 km of ski slopes with different level of difficulty. Skiing in Saas Fee is provided even for the children who can enjoy the fascinating winter sports in the specially designed park for kids. Freestylers have a fun park with half pipes and kickers. For those who like the diversity the village has attraction called the "Feeblitz" toboggan run (open during summer and winter seasons).
